In the summer holidays, I went to mumma’s office, Open Universities Australia (OUA), every Thursday. It was so exhilarating. I have made friends there with mumma’s office mates and their kids. I have so many beautiful memories of them, let me share few.
I loved helping Mrs. Jul water the plants and taking weeds out of them, refilling the food jars, packing up the small Christmas tree and doing a reindeer race with my friend 1. Julie gave us highlighters, chocolates and 55c in return for our help.
Fun fact: The next Thursday we went to check on the TimTam jar and all the TimTams were GONE!!!
My friend and I patted Achilles, the dog, who came to the office with Mrs B. Mrs B. is training Achilles to be a seeing eye dog. She said that Achilles was happy meeting us but I said that he wasn’t wagging his tail, so how could he be happy. Mrs B. said thats because he had his “Seeing eye dog” coat on, otherwise he’d be all wiggly piggly.
Fun fact: There is another seeing eye dog, named Willow, who got double jobs. Willow is guiding a girl who can only see from one eye. That girl works in a children hospital and that makes it Willow’s job to help children in the hospital too. Willow play the guitar with the girl at children hospital. Isn’t that AMAZING?
After patting Achilles, I had a mouthwatering meal from Don Don, a japanese restaurant near mumma’s office. I enjoyed my meal with mumma, my friend, her dad and her brother.
Fun fact: Japanese food is my FAVOURRRRRITTEEE!!!!!!!!!!
On the second day, friend 2, her brother and I helped Mr. Jase pack up the big Christmas tree. It was so much fun because it kept falling off the tree. In return, we got OUA keep-cups.
Fun fact: I love my keep-cup so much that I use it to drink water.
I just love mumma’s office, it was so amazing being there. Everybody in OUA is friendly and kind. I wanna go back again!!!
Fun fact: At every Christmas, OUA has delicious pancakes made by OUA leaders. There are so many toppings that I can’t decide what to take so I have to put all of the toppings in.

Twisha! You are AMAZING! Fun Fact: Seeing Eye Dog Achilles loved your visits and misses when he attends the office and does not see your happy smile. He’s away at the moment doing some training in Bendigo and so we’ll make sure he’s back at OUA the next time you visit the office during the school holidays.
